Bem, antes de mais, devo confessar que as aventuras deste aluno de magia é um dos meus "guilty pleasures". Sim, é verdade, admito-o com alguma vergonha, embora tenha jurado nunca ler um único livro de J.K. Rowling. Porquê, perguntam? Simples: não queria fazer parte de todo aquele hype que se gerou após a saída do 1º filme e não tinha (nem tenho) paciência para aquelas páginas todas. Rowling pode escrever bem mas não é nenhum Tolkien. Daí apenas me confessar fã dos filmes. É precisamente de um dos ditos, nomeadamente o último, de que este artigo trata.
"Harry Potter e a Ordem da Fénix" foi a maior desilusão do ano para mim. Para começar, o trailer engana e muito. Muita acção, pessoas a voarem em vassoras por Londres, o regresso de Voldemort, luta entre estudantes, UAU! Depois vem o filme em si.
É verdade que o filme anterior tinha sido muito bom e Ralph Fiennes tinha brilhado como Voldemort, o que tornava o seu sucesso difícil de repetir. Os produtores devem ter tido um ataque de "deixa lá isso" neste último filme. Nem há caos nesta "ordem", nem sequer há ocasião para isso. Existe muita fala mas muito, mesmo muito pouca acção. Ah, e quando a há, é muito aborrecida. Os combates entre feiticeiros mal são mostrados (ou percebidos) e a morte de Sirius Black é muito rápida. Quase "trás-pim". Ou será "avada kedavra-pim"? Simplificando: o filme é chato à brava!
Soube recentemente que cortaram cerca de 45 minutos ao filme. Agora vem a questão: isto foi bom ou mau?
Well, first off, I have to confess that the adventures of this young magic student are among my guilty pleasures. Yes, it's true, I admit it with a certain amount of shame, although I have sworn never to read a single one of J.K. Rowling's books. Why, you ask? Simple: I didn't want to be a part of all the hype that started after the first movie came out and didn't (nor do) have the patience for all those pages. Rowling may be a good writer but she's no Tolkien. That's why I'm only a fan of the movies. And one of them, namely, the latest, is exactly what this article is about.
"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was this year's biggest disappointment for me. For starters, the trailer really fools the average viewer. Lots of action, people flying on broomsticks over London, the return of Voldemort, students fighting, WOW! Then we have the actual movie.
It is undeniable that the previous movie was very good, and Ralph Fiennes had been amazing as Voldemort, making its success somewhat hard to top. The producers probably had a case of the "meh, who cares" during the making of this latest film. There isn't even any chaos in this "order", there isn't even the chance for it to manifest itself. There's a lot of talking with very, and I mean very little action. Oh, and when there's actually something cool going on, it's still pretty dull. The wizard fight scenes are barely seen (or understood) and the death of Sirius Black happens very quickly. Almost like "bang, you're dead!"Or is it "avada kedavra, you're dead!"? Putting it simply, the movie is basically a dull piece of wasted film reels.
